Fair
«Fair».
In this lively lithograph by Valentyna Ulianova, the fair scene comes alive through an intense harmony of reds, blues and yellows. Vendors, buyers, musicians, figures in traditional dress and animals merge into a decorative composition rich in rhythm and movement. The deliberately simplified perspective and the power of the colour transform the scene into a festive celebration of folk culture and the energy of life.
This work was exhibited in «Graphic Art of the Soviet and Post-Soviet Period» and is reproduced in the exhibition catalogue. Germany, 2025.
