«January».
This black-and-white lithograph is constructed around the contrast between its surfaces and its emotional intensity. At the centre of the composition, a couple remains motionless in a fragile embrace, transforming an everyday gesture into an image of profound humanity. The strong balance of light and shadow expresses silence, weariness and mutual support, allowing a delicate hope to emerge.
This work was exhibited in «Graphic Art of the Soviet and Post-Soviet Period» and is reproduced in the exhibition catalogue. Germany, 2025.
