Pair of photograph frames, 19th century, wood and bronze, 19 × 14 cm.

This pair of Empire-style frames, made of mahogany, embodies the elegance of the Imperial era. Their rigorous geometric profile harmonises with the refined bronze mounts, while the warm grain of the mahogany enhances the noble splendour of the metal.

Their creation as a pair underscores their ceremonial purpose: they were intended to hold family portraits. Every detail reveals the impeccable taste and extraordinary craftsmanship of early 19th-century artisans.
