Tatiana Nikolaevna Golembievska (7 September 1936, Kyiv - 2018, Kyiv) was one of Ukraine's most important artists. She was awarded the title of People's Artist of Ukraine (1986) and was a professor and academician of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine. Born into a family of artists, the daughter of Mykola Moloshtanov and Angelina Golembievska, she embarked on her creative path in childhood.

In 1962 she graduated from the Kyiv State Art Institute, where she studied under the celebrated masters Kosteckyj, Trokhymenko and Hryhoriev, before undertaking further training at the Academy of Arts of the USSR. In 1968 she married the sculptor Valentyn Znoba and began teaching at the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, where she later trained numerous generations of young painters as a lecturer and doctoral supervisor. Golembievska is regarded as one of the founders of modern Ukrainian Impressionism and distinguished herself above all in portraiture, landscape and still life. Her best-known works include «The Girlfriends», «Harvest Festival» and the triptych «Italy», characterised by extraordinary luminosity, emotional intensity and refined chromatic harmony. During her career she received the Ostrovsky Prize (1968) and the Grekov Silver Medal (1973). Her works are now held in museums in Ukraine and in private collections and galleries in the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Japan, bearing witness to her international recognition.
